Arris Apartments Tops Out

WASHINGTON – With the final pour of concrete for Arris' rooftop pool deck last week, Forest City Washington and Clark Construction Group celebrated the topping out of the third residential building to be developed thus far at The Yards. Arris, an 11-story, 327-unit apartment community is expected to be substantially complete by early 2016.

Located at the corner of Tingey and Fourth Streets SE, the Arris will feature a multi-faceted glass-panel, façade on a masonry base. The tower is flanked to the west by a trio of wings, each rising to eight stories. At street level, Arris will offer space for multiple retailers and restaurants, adding to the growing array of dining and shopping with over 19,000 square feet of additional retail space. Arris also features expansive apartments with some of the best waterfront views in the city.

The Arris is designed to achieve LEED® Gold certification and will feature a green roof, stormwater cisterns, and low-flow fixtures.
