Clark Civil to Complete Pershing Square Station Enhancements

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority has awarded Clark Civil a $15 million design-build contract for the Pershing Square Station Enhancements.

As part of the project’s scope, Clark will install a new, oval-shaped glass canopy and replace five escalators within the three portals at the Pershing Square Station on Metro’s Red Line.

Additionally, Clark will install and integrate new electrical and communication systems between the new escalators, video surveillance system, existing auxiliary power rooms, and train control and communication rooms. The work will be staged to allow continued access and egress within the operational station.

Anil Verma Associates, Inc., of Los Angeles is serving as the architect.

Design is underway and construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2016. Substantial completion is slated for March 2017.
