Clark Construction’s Barbara Wagner Receives Design-Build Industry’s Highest Distinction

MCLEAN, VA - Clark Construction Group is proud to announce that the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) has named Barbara Wagneras one of the three industry leaders part of the 2023 Class of DBIA fellows. 

Designated Design-Build Professional™ Fellow status is the highest level of DBIA Certification and acknowledges the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished design-build professionals.

As executive vice president of Clark, Barbara leads the company’s healthcare strategy and serves as a trusted advisor to Clark’s health system and hospital clients. In her role, Barbara is also responsible for tracking emerging healthcare needs, trends, and technologies, and working with design leaders in the market to understand and deploy programmatic, aesthetic, and constructability best practices.

Throughout her 38-year career, Barbara has utilized Design-Build best practices to help deliver some of the country’s most complex projects, including the Community Regional Medical Center, Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital, Clovis Community Medical Center, New Stanford Hospital, and Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital.

Elevation to Fellow status celebrates career contributions to the design-build profession and the DBIA organization. DBIA Fellow status is limited to two percent of Designated Design-Build Professionals™ who are elected to Fellowship by a jury of their peers.

DBIA Fellows were inducted during the 2023 Design-Build Conference & Expo Awards Ceremony earlier this fall.
