Clark Projects Earn Local ABC Awards

BETHESDA, Md. – The Metro Washington and Virginia Chapters of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) recently recognized six projects constructed by Clark Construction Group, LLC with Excellence in Construction Awards. The awards, presented on September 14 at a ceremony in Tysons Corner, Va., recognized the year’s best construction projects built by ABC members in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Three projects in Washington, D.C. were recognized. The International Monetary Fund Headquarters 2 was the winner in the Specialty Concrete and Mega Project categories. The American Red Cross National Headquarters earned an award in the Historic Restoration category. And, Children’s National Medical Center - Decontamination Addition was the winner in the Medical New Construction ($5 million - $20 million) category.

In Maryland, the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building at the University of Maryland was honored with an award in the Institutional (over $20 million) category. And, in Virginia, the Ballston-MU Station East End Elevators and Passageway earned an award in the Heavy/Industrial/Transportation category and Dulles International Airport East/West Automated People Mover Sitework was recognized with top honors in the Excavation/Site Preparation category.

Over the past 10 years, more than 40 Clark projects in the Washington, D.C. area have earned awards from ABC in its annual awards competition.
