Clark's Highland Hospital Team Earns NAACP Award

Bethesda, MD – Last week, Clark reached a major milestone in the construction of Lot 31, topping out the building's concrete structures.

To date, craftsmen have removed 35,000 truckloads of dirt, poured 50,000 cubic yards of concrete, erected 8.6 million pounds of reinforced steel, and installed 1,200 miles of post-tension cable. More than 350 workers, along with representatives from Stonebridge Associates, PN Hoffman, and Montgomery County, gathered to celebrate these achievements. During the ceremony, members of Clark's project team thanked the workers for their hard work and dedication.

The $122 million project, which anticipates earning LEED® Silver certification, is comprised of a five-story, 162-unit apartment tower (The Flats) and a nine-story, 88-unit condominium tower (The Darcy) with a combined 42,000 square feet of retail space and 1,250 below-grade parking spaces.

Paul Bakery, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Chop’t Creative Salad Company are among the retailers who have already secured space in the new structures. The Lot 31 property also will feature a luxury dining concept from Silver Diner and upscale seafood restaurant PassionFish.

The project is expected to reach substantial completion in the spring of 2015.
