Clark will renovate and reposition two existing office buildings into one state-of-the-art Class A office building that keeps DC’s historic architecture in mind while incorporating modern finishes. The project team will demolish the existing buildings’ south and west façades, while restoring the north and east façades of each building. The interior of the two buildings will be completely abated and demolished in order to connect the two into one structure. The building will include a parking garage, fitness facility, outdoor terrace, and green roof space.

Clark’s project team will reconstruct the office building with seven stories above-grade and four stories below-grade. The building’s façade will feature brick, limestone on precast concrete, and curtain wall that features chevron-shaped glass bays, complemented by vertically-tensioned cables. The lobby will feature a two-story, three-dimensional sculpted wood wall, Portuguese stone flooring, and a monumental staircase connecting the two original buildings.

Clark’s team also will construct an additional penthouse level, wrapped in glass and metal panels and featuring amenity spaces that provide uninterrupted views of the White House and the Washington Monument. The project’s scope of work also includes outdoor landscaped plaza which will serve as a public park.

The project is designed to achieve LEED® Platinum certification.
