Clark Civil, in a joint venture, is continuing the company's long relationship with Dulles International Airport and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. The joint venture team is constructing the Main Terminal East and West Baggage Basements – EDS In-Line High Volume Baggage Screening (East and West Baggage) and the Concourse C/D Rehabilitation Passenger Boarding Bridge Improvements (Concourses C/D Rehabilitation) as part of a $100 million capital improvements project.

As part of the East and West Baggage project, the team is integrating current state-of-technology baggage handling and inspection systems in the airport's main terminal. Clark Civil also is reconfiguring and replacing the existing baggage conveyor systems and upgrade the conveyor controls. The scope of work also includes constructing a three-level, below-grade, cast-in-place concrete addition to the east basement, heavy concrete and structural modifications, and HVAC, plumbing, and electrical relocation. The airport’s baggage handling and screening capabilities will remain active during construction.

The Concourse C/D Rehabilitation project extends the life of the airport’s C and D concourses while a permanent replacement is built nearby. Clark is demolishing the existing passenger boarding bridge (PBB) foundations, installing caissons for PBB pedestal support, paving and refurbishing the PBBs, and installing electrical, fire, and alarm systems, as well as pre-conditioned air units.
