Clark Completes Renovations to Historic Forum
February 11, 2014
Inglewood, CA – In January, MSG Entertainment opened the doors to the newly renovated Forum. The forty-seven year old iconic structure has been transformed into a world-class music and entertainment venue.
In just seven short months, Clark completed the demanding Forum renovation, which encompassed selective demolition and extensive tenant improvements, including repairing in-place the structural integrity of the existing cable roof truss system and the renovation of the structural and non-structural walls and ceilings throughout the arena. Two hundred and thirty tons of steel reinforcement equipment has been added to the roof to support new state-of-the-art lighting and rigging equipment.
Additional work included replacement of each stair riser in the seating bowl, making the entire facility ADA compliant. The building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems also were upgraded. Clark also performed extensive site enhancements, such as repainting the once blue venue back to its original shade of Forum Red.
The revitalization of The Forum has created the largest indoor performance venue in the country designed with a focus on music and entertainment. The 17,500-seat facility's modernized, flexible seating bowl can accommodate a wide variety of first-class events. Approximately 8,000 square feet of new event level hospitality space provides patrons seated on the arena floor with lounge quality setting. A glass wall, separating the new concession areas from the arena floor, ensures that fans do not miss a moment of the performance. The Chase Lounge and Forum Club, renowned “members only” establishments, also offer patrons a premier entertainment experience.
The venue officially opened to the public on January 15 with a concert by Rock legends the Eagles.
