Clark Construction Group CFO Honored with 2019 Washington Business Journal C-Suite Award

WASHINGTON – Sameer Bhargava, chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president at Clark Construction Group, has been named a 2019 Washington Business Journal C-Suite Awards recipient. The honor was bestowed during the 2019 CEO of the Year & C-Suite Awards gala on December 5 in Washington, DC. The C-Suite Awards recognize the region’s top C-Suite executives who have demonstrated vital leadership and business savvy while guiding their businesses to success.

In his role as Clark’s CFO, Bhargava is part of the executive team responsible for the company’s overall growth and financial health. He provides leadership for the firm’s financial activities, as well as corporate planning, strategy, innovation, risk management, and information technology functions. Bhargava also oversees Clark’s Strategic Investment Committee, a cross-functional group of employees dedicated to supporting the company’s innovation efforts.

Bhargava has more than two decades of financial and executive leadership experience, including work with a number of Fortune 500 companies. After a career in the strategic consulting and private equity space, he joined Clark to help enhance the role of the company’s CFO. Since joining Clark, Bhargava has led the establishment of a platform for evaluating and investing in strategic initiatives focused on improving efficiency, minimizing risk, and enhancing the employee and customer experience. To date, more than 30 company-wide initiatives are in various phases of development and deployment.

Outside of Clark, Bhargava has served on a dozen corporate and non-profit boards over the last five years. Most notably, he is the board chairperson of The Potomac School, a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, a board member of Viagogo, and former board chairperson of Higher Achievement.
