Clark Named USGBC-NCR'S Firm of the Year

BETHESDA, Md. – The National Capital Region of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC-NCR) has named Clark Construction Group its Member Firm of the Year. This distinction recognizes Clark as a regional model for community and environmental stewardship.
Clark was honored for conservation and sustainability efforts that go beyond simply building green. In the past few years, the Company has made significant changes to its business practices and operations to become more environmentally conscious. This USGBC-NCR award recognizes the sustainable efforts of Clark's employees in the Mid-Atlantic Region. These accomplishments include using greener office products, re-using and re-purposing existing construction materials, and recycling more than 14 tons of paper in the Bethesda office. Company-wide, Clark now has more than 325 LEED APs and has completed nearly $3 billion worth of LEED certified projects, including Lafayette Tower, Washington, D.C.'s first Platinum certified office building.
The company was honored during the USGBC-NCR's "A Mid-Summer Night's Green" Event on July 21.
