Craftsmanship Honored on Several Clark Projects

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Craftsmen from Clark Concrete, Clark Foundations, and Clark Construction Group subcontractors recently earned Washington Building Congress (WBC) Awards for their quality work on seven Clark projects. The WBC Craftsmanship Awards honor excellence in the building trades in the Washington, D.C. area. The awards were presented during the annual Craftsmanship Awards banquet on March 14, in front of more than 1,000 industry professionals.

• Harman Center for the Arts (Finishes – Plaster)
• Harman Center for the Arts (Woods & Plastics – Architectural Millwork)/li>
• Children’s National Medical Center – East Wing Fit-Out (Finishes – Flooring)
• Dulles Airport East Automated People Mover (Concrete – Cast-in-Place)
• 425 3rd Street – Capitol View (Concrete – Cast-in-Place)
• Yale Laundry (Masonry – Unit Masonry)
• Fischell Addition to the Kim Building (Special Construction – Thermal and Moisture Protection)

The architectural millwork at the Harman Center for the Arts was also nominated for a WBC Star Award. Star Award nominees are hand-selected by the judges to recognize craftsmanship that attained the highest level of quality.
In addition, Clark Foundations earned an award as a subcontractor on the Square 320 project in the Sitework (Underpinning, Foundations and Excavations) category.
