Inova and Clark Break Ground on Inova Alexandria Campus

Alexandria, VA and Springfield, VA – Sept. 30, 2024 – Inova broke ground today on the sites of its two new, state-of-the-art hospitals—Inova Alexandria and Inova Franconia-Springfield—marking a significant milestone in expanding access and transforming the healthcare experience in Northern Virginia. Groundbreaking ceremonies took place at each location with local officials, healthcare leaders, and community members in attendance. The two new hospitals will replace the existing Inova Alexandria Hospital. Both campuses were designed by Ballinger and Ennead Architects, and Clark Construction will lead the construction efforts on the new Inova Alexandria campus located on the former Landmark Mall site, with completion expected in 2028.
