Clark's Highland Hospital Team Earns NAACP Award
May 9, 2014
OAKLAND, Calif. – Clark was recently honored with a Community Service Award from the Oakland chapter of the NAACP for its efforts with the organization and neighboring Oakland High School. Over the past year, the company' s Highland Hospital Acute Care Tower Replacement team has provided support to Oakland High School's Project Lead the Way program. Project Lead The Way, which is the nation's leading provider of science, technology, engineering, and math programs, is designed to help students develop the skills needed to succeed in the global economy. To assist the school, the Highland team has hosted a number of special events, including a student-focused career day where representatives from architecture and engineering firms, and local trade unions, spoke with students about the opportunities within the construction and engineering industry.

The visit helped students to see, firsthand, the concepts they learned in school.
